The Pier Pavilion was opened by Mayor Walter Gardiner at the shore end of the pier on June 25th 1926.

Designed by architects Adshead & Ramsey, the new 1000 seater shoreward end pavilion became the permanent home of The Worthing Municipal Orchestra.
